Wilmington, DE – In a recent update, the Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced that cash booths at toll plazas have reopened as of 4:45 pm on June 8, 2023. This decision comes as a result of a reduction in the Air Quality Index (AQI), allowing for the resumption of regular operations. However, the DMV will continue to closely monitor the AQI forecast to assess any potential impacts on DMV services for June 9, 2023.
To stay informed about air quality conditions in the coming days, residents are encouraged to check the AQI and sign up for air quality alerts at de.gov/aqi.
In addition, the DMV reminds customers that they can conveniently complete more than 20 DMV transactions online, including Delaware driver license and identification renewals, vehicle registration renewals, duplicates, and address changes. By utilizing the online services available at mydmv.delaware.gov, individuals can save time and avoid the need to travel outdoors for certain transactions.
The DMV remains committed to providing accessible and efficient services to the residents of Delaware while prioritizing public health and safety.
